Boy, great minds think alike about the Gowdy's rapid and quiet departure. I felt that he was a rising star among the conservatives but suddenly, like a whisp of smoke, he was gone. I was just asking my "in house counsel" my super intelligent husband, what he thought about Gowdy just leaving and not being heard of again! He didn't have an answer because he too thought about why it was a quiet one. I don't think Gowdy could speak of his plans, because think how vicious the backlash would be from conservatives! He knew that his move to leave and his future associations would be highlighted and people would call him a turncoat, which he was! So it was easier to "leave but not leave" and move into the most lucrative place to make tons of money. That's all it ever is! The power, the money, and along that line the corruption that go hand in hand. Sadly whoever they think has the most power is who will dictate their fortunes. I truly hope that the future changes will help to shift this power out of their grubby little hands. We desperately need men and women of character to take the reins and be true "servants" the people. God help this country!

The corruption of the Dems/Communists never stops! Why should it? A snake is ALWAYS a snake.

I pray that righteousness prevails and that they cannot steal the House.....

Lawlessness reigns in so many Dem and Rino controlled precincts, counties, and states!

Only the Truth shall make you free.

(Not all Democrats are corrupt or Communists, but, if not, they should come out of that corrupt system/organization/Party)

Mine is not so much a question but more an "I doubt it". Trump knows IMO that Congress will not pass a bill to eliminate tax on social security, overtime and tips. He'll get someone to introduce and then blame Congress when doesn't pass. There's not enough tariff $ to pull that off. Lots to like about Trump agenda but I'm disappointed by this vote recruiting ruse.

I'm not so sure it was a ruse. DJT is demonstrating he's using many of the same tactics the Dems used when in power. All Rs need to do to pass no tax on tips and/or SS is to attach it to a reconciliation bill, which only needs 51 votes or 50 voted plus the VP to pass in the Senate. It's how the ridiculously-named Inflation Reduction Act was passed with KamaKazi casting the deciding vote. This would be a classic boomerang move.

If Gaetz doesn’t make it, who would you see as replacements? Have wondered for awhile what caused Gowdy and Chavitz to drop out and run to Fox…knew they were buddies with Ryan and McCarthy, I believe

Whittaker (his former acting AG), Paxton, and a few others come to mind. There are options, but none as scorched earth as Gaetz. LIke DJT, Gaetz & Paxton have been a DS lawfare targets and want to clean up the DOJ just as badly as DJT.
